Rhyl and Prestatyn provide the perfect base for enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery and fascinating attractions in North Wales. Within a short distance you can see the impressive castles at Rhuddlan and Denbigh and one of the smallest ancient cathedrals in Britain at St Asaph.
At nearby Bodelwyddan you can visit the amazing Marble Church. Slightly further afield are the castles of Dinas Bran at Llangollen or the famous Caernarfon Castle, where Prince Charles was invested in 1969. There are also some well-preserved stately homes that you can tour, such as Bodelwyddan Castle with its magnificent gardens, Bodrhyddan Hall near Rhyl and Plas Newydd at Llangollen
Or perhaps the children might enjoy the ´gruelling experience´ of Ruthin Gaol! Wales is famous for its Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there is one near Rhyl and Prestatyn - The Clwydian Hills. The waterfall at Dyserth is well worth visiting, as is Loggerheads Country Park. Bodnant Garden in the Conwy Valley offers a more formal afternoon out and of course the incredible scenery and walks for all abilities can be easily found in Snowdonia National Park.
