Home Access

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share some information with you all that I received recently from Becta. There is a government drive called 'Home Access' that helps low-income families who lack access to a computer and/or the Internet to get online at home.
For any eligible learners with SEN, the programme provides a range of Assistive Technology that can be applied for now. They could receive a tailor-made package based on a simple evaluation of their needs. They may receive items such as:
- Screen reading software
- Specialised access hardware like a head controlled mouse
- Switch access hardware
- Symbol software
Learners will also get:
- A computer
- One years Internet access
- Service, safety features and support
To get an application pack, just call 0333 200 1004

Please pass this information on to anyone you think may find it useful.
